
The Sixth Annual Garden State Film Festival which will take place in Asbury ParkÕs Paramount Theater and other Asbury Park venues April 4th-6th,2008 is scouting candidates for their annual Robert Pastorelli Rising Star Award. The award is named after the late award winning actor and co-founder of the GSFF, Robert Pastorelli who was instrumental in bringing this prestigious event to the State of New Jersey.
To be eligible, candidates should be born and raised in the state of New Jersey and have made inroads to the industry through hard work and determination. The committee that will decide this yearÕs award winner, will be looking for a progression of work in theater, commercials, television, and film with the energy and passion of an undeniable artist. This prestigious award will be presented at the Garden State Film Festival Awards Dinner on April 6th, 2008 at The English Manor in Ocean Township, NJ.
The Robert Pastorelli Rising Star Award is open to all New Jersey Residents regardless of age or union affiliation. Submissions should be postmarked by January 1, 2008. Submitted materials should include a headshot, resume, references and demo tape or DVD if available and sent to GSFF C/O George Teutsch 2185 Eighth Ave., Sea Girt, NJ 08750. No submitted materials will be returned to applicants.
Interviews will take place in February 2008 at a location to be determined.
